Another great big group of people tried to arrive this morning. We've run out of room over here, so Ed and a few other men have gone to help them set up further down the road by one of the beaches. Jess says that brings us up to almost 150 people setting up camps here. No idea if they're locals or not, have to wait until later.
It's turned into quite the sight: motorhomes, truck campers, big tents, little tents, tarps stretched over makeshift frames. I'm not very good at judging area, but it looks like we take up a good kilometre or more along the river's edge and the lakeshore.
Ed Kenwick came by earlier this afternoon looking for his dog. Seems it ran off after a rabbit. I know the hunters have been out every day, I hope nobody shoots the dog by accident. I wish I had a dog right about now.
Jason and Daniel are down at the riverbank trying to catch frogs. Ew, yuck. I wonder if we're going to end up eating those frogs later?
So far, there hasn't been any fights, unless you count Alvin who got drunk again and took out two other tents after stumbling into the wrong one. I don't think he's seen the outside of a bottle since last year when Henrietta was killed by a moose on the highway.
